Glass Blasting

Glass blasting solutions for decorative frosted surfaces and precision etching/patterning.

Overview

Glass blasting is applied using three distinct methods depending on the need: flat glass blasting performed on vertical automatic lines with multiple blasting guns, special setups for curved glass surfaces, and glassware blasting, in which items such as glasses, pitchers, and ornaments are processed individually inside a cabinet. The dust generated during glassware blasting is captured by the filter system located behind the cabinet.

In terms of visual effect, three core techniques stand out: Surface Glass Blasting creates black-and-white, silhouette-style patterns by abrading a limited depth on the glass surface, and is the fastest and simplest method. Carved (Deep) Glass Blasting produces three-dimensional, relief-effect patterns on glass through single- or multi-stage processing. Shaded Glass Blasting, on the other hand, gradually varies the blasting intensity to achieve a graduated, photographic look in shades of gray and white.

Which glass blasting technique and machine suits your needs depends on whether you are working with flat glass, curved glass, or glassware, and on the visual effect you are aiming for. Contact Saykar and we can help determine the most suitable system for you.
