Product Description
The SK 18 is used to blast equipment that, due to its size, cannot be blasted inside a blasting machine or booth, or that cannot be transported to a blasting facility — right where it stands, without disassembly. In this dust-free, vacuum-operated system, the sprayed consumable is simultaneously recovered by the vacuum unit, preventing dust and consumable from spreading inside the facility.
In use, the machine is shipped fully assembled; after the appropriate consumable is loaded, one operator starts the process with a foot pedal while a second operator manually adjusts the media control valve to regulate the consumable flow rate. The SK 18 is a compact system with an 18-liter pressure tank, measuring 1120 x 560 x 1700 mm and weighing 115 kg; it ships as standard with 4.5 mm boron carbide nozzles and can run glass bead/aluminum oxide up to 0.8 mm grain size and steel grit up to 0.4 mm.
