SK 1100 T Drum-Type Wet Blasting Machine

Product Description

The left-hand door of the SK 1100 T houses a stainless steel drum with 8 vanes, sized in the 315-465 mm range. For large parts not suited to working in the drum, the machine's right-hand door is used instead.

During automatic-mode operation, the operator starts the process by setting the blasting time, drum rotation speed, rotation direction and repeat-program options on the PLC screen, and manually adjusting the blasting pressure via the regulator; at the end of the set time, the machine gives an audible and visual alert calling the operator for a part change. For large parts not suited to working in the drum, manual mode is selected on the PLC screen; one of the guns used in automatic mode is removed and operated manually by the operator. As standard, it ships with 8 mm boron carbide nozzles and aluminum blasting guns with 4.2 mm injectors (SM 1708); these guns consume 1.2 m³ of air per minute. A nozzle hanging apparatus enables two-hand operation, and a Safety/Security Package is provided as standard. The aim is to carry out zero-dust-emission surface polishing and cleaning for aluminum, stainless steel and brass in particular, as well as for all tight-tolerance parts, and to make the pre-coating surface homogenization process more widespread in manufacturing.
