Product Description

The SK 850 I is an automatic implant blasting machine developed to help implant manufacturers achieve homogeneous, standard surface quality and provide the required surface roughness. It sprays a mixture of blasting consumable (specific gravity below 4 gr/cm³) and water onto the surface using a specially designed slurry spray pump, in addition to the vacuum effect created by pressurized air; the amount of consumable sprayed can be increased or decreased. The system is CE certified and, by design, has zero dust emission — a system patented to SAYKAR.

Operation: in the front-doored machine, implants are attached one by one to the holder shaft by personnel, and the front door is closed; blasting time, rotation speed and rotation direction are entered on the PLC screen and the process is started; when finished, the machine gives an audible/visual alert and the operator repeats the process with the next implant. In addition to the wet blasting process operating with zero dust, the system also reduces the risk of consumable embedding into the surface — serving implant manufacturers' goal of homogeneous, standard surface quality.

The blasting cabin measures 850x800x800 mm, is of stainless steel construction and has a single front-loading door. The filtration system has an 80-mesh stainless-wire filter cartridge that filters the air pumped into the machine before it exits; it operates with a self-cleaning Jet-Pulse system and is fed by a 1.1 kWh fan motor. The machine is shipped with standard 8 mm boron carbide nozzles and stainless steel blasting guns with 4.2 mm injectors consuming 1.2 m³/min of air at 6 bar; the gun mounting stand is adjustable in height and angle.
