Product Description
In automatic operation, the SK 1215 places dies according to part diameter on a 1000 mm (net 995 mm) diameter rotary table; 4 blasting nozzles continuously and automatically scan the rotary table to clean the die surfaces. The blasting tank is filled with approximately 80 liters of mains water and 25 kg of aluminum oxide abrasive.
The nozzles are mounted on a stainless-steel robotic manipulator; wrist and head angles are manually adjustable, while the axis movements are automatically controlled from the touchscreen. The 10 mm inner-diameter boron carbide nozzles spray from 100-150 mm from the part at 0-10 bar pressure, using a 25% abrasive + 75% water mixture. For large dies not suited to top-blasting, an optional vertical loading trolley can be fitted to present the die's extrusion channel to the operator. Cabin surfaces in contact with water are made of 316L stainless steel, and the cabin is coated overall with 3-5 mm rubber sheeting for abrasion resistance; interior lighting uses IP66 fixtures providing a minimum of 400 lux. After blasting, parts on the rotary table are rinsed with fresh water; for parts removed from the machine, dipping in a tank of grinding fluid or boron oil is recommended for corrosion protection.
